Firefighter/EMS
3-Hour Disability Awareness Training
If you are an firefighter or EMT paramedic who has an interest in learning how to properly
respond to individuals with disabilities, we invite you to register for the upcoming 3-hour
virtual training session.
Developed with input from emergency responders from across Missouri & South Dakota
with support from the Missouri EMS Association, The American Ambulance
Association, South Dakota Fire Chiefs Assn., and South Dakota EMS Association.
This training both sensitizes and educates firefighter/EMS personnel on how to
effectively recognize, identify, approach, interact and respond (RIAIR MODEL) to various
disabilities they will encounter in their line of duty.
This is a FREE training for South Dakota & Missouri First Responders. EMS receive
3 hours of non-core credits.
