District 2 Advanced EMT Course - Lennox

SD EMS Association District 2 will be hosting an in-person Advanced EMT class in Lennox, SD. 

Class will be held Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 1800-2200 with occasional Saturdays from 0800-1700 at the Lennox Ambulance station.

Class will start on Tuesday, January 6th and is scheduled to complete on Thursday, May 28th.

Course Fees:

For students that are affiliated with or sponsored by an EMS agency (fire, ambulance, rescue squad, etc.) state EMS grant funds will cover the cost of the course.  Students will be required to pay a deposit of $500 which will be refunded upon completion of the course and NREMT test (regardless of test outcome).


If not affiliated with or sponsored by an EMS agency, the course cost will be $1500.

Course fees include all instruction, course materials, supplies, and first attempt NREMT testing.  Deposits or course fees are due in full by the first night of class unless alternate arrangements are made in advance with the course coordinator.


Course Requirements:

In order to complete the course and clinical rotations, each student must provide evidence of or submit to the following:

  • Current EMT certification
  • Criminal background check
  • MMR vaccine record or current titer
  • Varicella vaccine record or current titer
  • Current TB test
  • Current influenza vaccine administration

These requirements will be discussed further at the beginning of class, nothing needs to be submitted ahead of time.
