    Event Overview

    Join us for a hands-on training session designed for first responders, fire departments, and emergency personnel. This event provides 3 EMS credit hours (SDCE 3712) and offers essential training on emergency meter disconnects and electrical safety in the field.

    • 6:15 PM – Catered Meal & Emergency Meter Disconnect Training (Community Room)
    • 7:30 PM – Safety Demonstrations (Shop Area)
    • 9:00 PM – Training Concludes

    FREE for South Dakota EMS Providers!

    Must be sponsored by an EMS organization – an ambulance director, supervisor, or chief must approve registration.

    Course Schedule:

    Day 1: Adult Learning Theory, Lesson Planning, Ethics, and Cultural Responsiveness.

    Day 2: Legal Considerations, Emotional Intelligence, Teaching Psychomotor Skills, and Facilitation Strategies.

    Day 3: Presentation Skills, Final Exam, and Course Wrap-Up.

    Travel & Lodging

    Participants are responsible for their own expenses.

    A block of rooms is available at the Ramkota under "SD EMS IC Training."
