District 2 will be hosting a 20 hour BLS/ALS refresher at the Morton Center near Baltic, SD, 10 minutes north of Sioux Falls. The refresher will be held on:
- Friday, February 6th 0800-1700
- Saturday, February 7th 0800-1700
- Sunday, February 8th 0800-1200
The Morton Center is located at 47669 252nd Street. From Sioux Falls take SD 115 (Cliff Avenue) north past I-90 for 9 miles to 252nd Street, turn right for 1.5 miles, the Morton Center will be on the right.
This refresher will be held in person. There will not be a virtual option at this time.
The cost of the refresher will be $100 for current SDEMSA members or $140 for non-members. Breakfast and lunch will be included all three days along with beverages and snacks throughout the day.
If anyone is needing CPR re-certification, there will be opportunities to do skills checks throughout the refresher. You will need to complete the AHA BLS Heart Code course online (https://shopcpr.heart.org/heartcode-bls) and bring your printed course completion certificate to the refresher to complete the skills test.
