District 4 Training

  • 04/28/2018
  • 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

District 4 members are encouraged to participate in the below listed classes. Our district meeting will be at 12:00 through 13:00 hours.

Here is the timeline of events:

9am - 1:00pm Certified fire class, Vehicle extrication, held at the Leola public school.  In depth extrication techniques taught by Mike Eliason.

9am - 12:00pm EMR/EMT vehicle extrication class, held at the Leola Public School.  More of a basic overview on gaining access, patient care techniques, and hands on practice, taught by Kyle Moser.

12:00pm – 1:00pm District IV business meeting held in the Leola Public School Cafeteria.

12:00pm – 1:00pm Lunch provided during the above stated meeting.

1:00pm – 4:00pm Hands on vehicle extrication.  This hands on training will provide opportunities for multiple scenarios and techniques, this is tentatively set for the Leola School parking lot, but we do have an inside option if we need to move this due to weather conditions.   This will be led by Mike Eliason and Kyle Moser.

4:00pm – 4:30pm critique, discussion, and wrap up.

4:30pm – 5:00pm cleanup of  grounds, classrooms, and cafeteria.

*The Leola Public School has very graciously agreed to allow us to hold this training at their facility, so it is very important that we clean up the area and return it to the condition that we found it in*

*We will have two sets of extrication equipment available, so we can run multiple stations*

*Please bring appropriate PPE if you have it available to you, if you don’t have any, please wear long sleeves, long pants, and safety glasses*

Coming in on Highway 10 turn at the Agtegra  fuel station and go 2 blocks south. I don’t know which door yet but will have that soon.
